Socrates, Pathos and Plato I hate to advocate bootlegs, but this one is a must-have for any Jellyfish fan. It's a beautifully recorded CD of Jellyfish's "Spilt Milk" tour. Though it sounds like one show, it's actually a compilation - a "best of" live stuff, if you will. Not only does it show off 2nd generation Jellyfish's amazing live performance, but it also puts the spotlight on their great live soundman, Shalom Aberle, who was with the Jellies from their first show until their last. Songs like "The Man I Used To Be" evolved quite a bit from the album version to here, and the solo in "All I want Is Everything" is most impressive, Indeed. Keep in mind that this is a soundboard recording, not an audience tape. The crowd noise is VERY minimal, and the close-miked instruments take away part of the air of the recording. But that's okay, it's a VERY clear live show, not lacking an energetic performance.
